Lawrence North High School is looking for applicants with a strong background in softball for an assistant coaching position. Lawrence North has an enrollment of approximately 2850 students and is a member of the MIC conference, one of the best athletic and academic conferences in the state. LN has two softball fields on campus, with the varsity field getting turf and lights in 2023. Previous coaching and playing experience is required. This position involves building positive relationships with student athletes and teaching life lessons through the sport of softball. Assistant coaches will help prepare and implement practice and game plans. The coach will supervise, instruct, and advise athletes during practices and matches stressing teamwork, competitiveness and sportsmanship. The coach will be expected to communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school personnel. Performance Responsibilities:

2. Provide direct and indirect services in the area of speech and language for all students on
a caseload as well as students in the MTSS process
3. Work collaboratively with the special education teams at the building in order to help
develop positive planning for students
4. Knowledgeable about Assistive Technology to support language and improve academicachievement in general education settings; as well as low tech supports to teach and improve student communication
5. Maintain student records required by law, policies, and administrative procedures
6. Appropriately administer, score, and interpret specialized speech and language
