Extended day lead supervisors are responsible for the day to day operations at the extended day site.  Of primary concern, lead supervisors oversee the safety and security of all students enrolled in extended day, and the communication between staff, parents, and central office. Job Responsibilities include:
• Serve as point-person in chain of command for the building, and report to the Directors of Extended Day.
• Informing building staff of updates/ changes to procedures.
• Ability to create Google sheets for attendance and scheduling
• Manage the iPad/Kiosk for parents to sign students In/Out

• Managing emergency protocols in their buildings are reporting any issues to Administrators.

• Executing security procedures and protocols.

• Local oversight of enrichment courses.

• Building-level training of staff.

• Engaging with parents to address needs or concerns.

• Serving as liaison between building principal and Extended Day staff.

• Responsible for preparing payroll in their buildings.

• Participating in monthly supervisor meetings led by Administrator.

Essential Duties:  The Paraprofessional has the duties and responsibilities commonly associated with this position, including (but not limited to) the following, which are performed directly or through the proper delegation of authority, within the framework of the general laws of New Jersey, the regulations of the NJ State Department of Education, the policies and rules of the Nutley School District, and the terms of the contract with the Nutley Education Association, with all of which he/she is expected to be familiar. As well, the position is responsible for duties commonly associated with communication positions, which are performed directly or through the proper delegation of authority.
 
Position Objective:  To provide services that support student learning.  To enable the classroom teacher to attend to the individual needs of the students.
 
General Duties and Responsibilities:
 
Under the direct supervision of a certified teacher, the Special Education 1:1 Para, Shared, or Class Para:  
• Assists pupils under the supervision of the teacher.
• Corrects (grades) student work under the supervision of the teacher.
• Prepares materials for instruction as directed by the teacher.
• Assists with gathering of materials /student work when student is absent.
• Assists in the implementation of data collection tools (charts, data sheets, graphing)
• Assists students with organizational and study skills
• Incorporates positive behavior support throughout all programming for the purpose of creating a consistent environment
• Implements various behavioral management strategies and reinforcement schedules as developed by the teacher. 
• Attends building staff meetings and professional development meetings.
