We are seeking a dedicated Utility Professional to join our team! This full-time, 12-month position (40 hours/week) will primarily focus on custodial and maintenance work (80%) while also assisting with student transportation (up to 20%) as a bus driver. Candidates must obtain a school bus license within six months of hire, with all associated costs reimbursed by the district upon license attainment.

Qualifications:
- General:
- Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
- Ability to lift, move, or carry a minimum of 50 pounds, and perform physical labor (standing, walking, bending, climbing, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks within set deadlines.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Building Custodian & Assistant Buildings and Grounds Staff:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; experience in building maintenance, custodial work, or facilities management a plus.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and methods.
- Ability to operate and maintain various tools and machinery.
- Bus Driver:
- Good verbal communication skills
- At least 21 years old
- Possess a valid state driver's license for at least 3 years
- Must hold certification by the State of Illinois for bus operation or will attain certification within the first 6 months of employment.
- Be subject to a drug screen and physical
- Subject to DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
- Experience with school bus safety, student supervision, and transportation procedures is preferred but can be learned through training and education.
