District Substitute Teachers: (1 position open and needed to be filled working primarily at the elementary level).

South Eastern School District is in need of motivated substitute teachers to work with Substitute Teacher Service and serve within our district buildings every day we are teaching in-person. These positions will run for the entire 2024-2025 school year.  As a District Substitute Teacher, you will receive an email by 6:30AM each morning with your placement for the day. We are looking for individuals who are comfortable working in grades K-12. This is an EXCELLENT opportunity to showcase your teaching skills to the principals and enhance your knowledge of the South Eastern School District. The District will also consider any person who has a bachelor degree (does not have to be an education degree) if we are unable to fill with certified teachers. These positions will pay $160.00/per student day that we are teaching in-person (it equates to approximately $23/hour).  The District will place 1-2 in elementary and 2-3 in the secondary schools.

Full-time Health Room Assistant (RN/LPN)

Description:  Full-time Health Room Assistant, 7.0 hours/day, 186 days/year, working 7:30 am - 3:00 pm (tentative hours - could change based on needs of health room) with a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch at multiple buildings. 
                 
Salary Range:  Range 0, beginning of range is $20.46 per hour, hourly wage will be determined based on experience.  The position works all 181 student days plus three additional staff development days and is paid for two holidays (Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day).  This is a full-time position that offers medical, dental, vision, and life insurance as well as the PA School Employee Retirement System.  Paid sick, personal, and bereavement days are available each year.  

Job Summary:  Assist with the daily health care of students and faculty and assist with the maintenance of student health records under the direction of the Certified School Nurse.

Qualifications:  A PA nursing license as an RN or LPN and a CPR and First Aid certification is required.  Must possess knowledge of basic medical care, medication and terminology as well as general office and decision making skills.

Part-time Personal Care Assistant

Description: Part-time Personal Care Assistant for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year.  This position will work 5.5 hours/day, up to 186 days/year.  Working hours are based on the needs of the student and could change.  These positions are year to year positions based on the needs of the student from year to year.

The current positions are located at :

1. South Eastern Middle School, tentatively working 8:15 am - 2:15 pm which includes a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch
2.  Stewartstown Elementary School, tentatively working 9:15 am - 3:15 pm which includes a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch

Salary Range:  Range III, beginning of range is $15.00 per hour, hourly wage will be determined based on experience.  The position works up to 181 student days plus up to three additional paid staff development days and two paid holidays (Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day).  This position does qualify to be a part of the PA School Employee Retirement System.  Paid sick, paid personal, and paid bereavement days are available each year.  

Job Summary:  Provide daily assistance to students on a one-to-one basis, typically directed by an IEP, Section 504 Agreement, or other written plan under the direction of the Administration and/or classroom teacher.

Qualifications:  High school diploma or equivalent is required.  Must possess positive communication skills, organization skills and the ability to work with students and staff.  Paraprofessionals are required to complete the process to be deemed "Highly Qualified" or have the equivalent of an associate degree in college credits.
