    This posting is for 1 Paraeducator to assist with the Agriscience Program, to include: 
    • Assist students with Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) paperwork                                                                                                                                                          
    • Organize and Maintain SAE paperwork and procedures
    • Assist incoming freshman and their families with the registration process 
    • Organize student and Agriscience Program data 
     
    The Paraeducator will work from June 13, 2025 through August 26, 2025; 6.5 hours per day.
    Pay will be at the Paraeducator's Contractual Hourly Rate.

     The Paraeducator will work from June 13, 2025 through August 26, 2025; 6.5 hours per day.

    Job Description:  INSTRUCTIONAL PARAEDUCATOR – AGRISCIENCE PROGRAM
     
    PURPOSE:
     Providing assistance with the summer SAE program and Agriscience program documentation, state department of labor requirements, and overall program coordination.       
     
    SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
    Head of Agriscience program
     
     EXAMPLE OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Support students who need additional help, either academically or with other requirements of the Agriscience program.
    • Guide students through the completion and organization of paperwork and recordkeeping for their Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAEs), ensuring all records are properly maintained in the Agriscience building
    • Assist students with information they need to complete, including The Agricultural Experience Tracker (AET) forms, field trip forms, scholarship forms, internship applications, and other program-related documents.
     
    • Work with the faculty members to ensure that students receive all of the appropriate information regarding the program. This includes all required forms for program participants. 
    • Under the direction of a faculty member, answer questions about the program from students, parents, community members and the public.
    • Contact families, under the supervision of a certified teacher, to schedule appointments for upcoming meetings.
    • Assist program teachers in the maintenance of appropriate documentation, as required by the grant.
    • Review submitted incoming applications and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness, and adhere to established registration procedures accordingly..
    • Collect, record and prepare required reports as instructed by the Head of Agriscience program.
    • Work with staff on planning the end-of-year award banquet.
    • Act as the central liaison and first point of contact for the Agriscience office.
    • Perform other related duties, as assigned by the Head of Agriscience program and administration.
     
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
     
    • Strong computer skills, with a particular emphasis on Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms and gmail), as well as proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Publisher.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions effectively.
    • Proficiency in basic reading, math, writing, and speaking English, to support student learning and perform other responsibilities.
    • Possess or be willing to acquire the skills necessary to work productively with children.
    • Comfort with using the Internet and updating the program website under the directing of Agriscience staff.
    • Physical condition commensurate with the demands of, at a minimum, the essential functions of the position.
    • Exhibit good judgment, patience, tact, and courtesy.
     
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
     
    • 3 Years experience assisting with an SAE Program
    • Proven ability to accurately process SAE-required documentation to ensure compliance with state reporting requirements.
    • Must meet one of the following: successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment, possession of an Associate’s Degree, or completion of at least 60 credits from an accredited college or university.
    • Skilled in collecting, recording, and reporting data in a clear and organized manner.
    • Compliance with No Child Left Behind (NCLB) requirements, as applicable.
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with staff, families and community members.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to connect with students and respond to their individual needs.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, follow directions, and accept supervision when needed.

    • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
