    Wynyard Composite School is currently accepting applications for a Continuing Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Vice-Principal. Wynyard Composite is a Grade 7-12 school with approximately 216 students and 14.0 FTE professional staff. It is located in a supportive community with an active student body and enjoys a solid academic and extra-curricular program.

    The Opportunity
    This position will commence the first day of the 2025-2026 School Year. Reporting to the Principal, the Vice-Principal of Wynyard Composite School is responsible for supporting the Principal in leading the day-to-day operations of the school; ensuring that that all students are instructed, assessed and supported in a safe and welcoming learning environment. You work collaboratively with all school staff to in the development of the school’s Learning Improvement Plan that is aligned with in advancing the School Division’s three pillars of Literacy, Safe & Caring and Assessment. Under the direction of the Principal supporting the creation and implementation of school policies, regulations and procedures for financial and procedural administration, scheduling, extracurricular activities, emergency operations, facilities management and the management. You will also serve as a role model and assist staff and community in creating a top quality educational experience for all students. The Principal will assign other duties as required.

    • Promote and support community and parental engagement
    Qualifications
    • Valid teaching certificate
    • Bachelor of Education, Master's Degree preferred
    • Five (5) years of teaching experience
    The Person
    You are energetic, with a strong work ethic, and have an intense focus on creating a student centered learning environment.  You care about top quality, instruction, assessment and intervention to meet the needs of all students. You are detail orientated; yet you can also see the big picture and how multiple elements of school life fit together. You work effectively in a school team as well as independently as the school leader. Your positive attitude is infectious and you both recognize your own strengths and have an ability to help others see and leverage theirs.
     
    Wynyard is a vibrant community with a strong agricultural and industrial base.  Wynyard has a population of approximately 2,000.  It offers a variety of recreational and service club opportunities. Wynyard is located in East Central Saskatchewan along Highway # 16, 185 km north of Regina, 192 km east of Saskatoon, and 147 km. west of Yorkton.
