Horizon School Division office is located approximately 100 km east of Saskatoon in the thriving community of Humboldt, SK. The Division serves approximately 6,400 students located in 32 communities. This progressive Board is known for its strong support for small schools, effective professional development, high teacher engagement, innovative approaches, and sound fiscal management. The school division is located on Treaty 6 and Treaty 4 territory, and is comprised of 43 schools including partnerships with seven First Nation Authorities. The Divison runs the first provincially operated school in Canada located on George Gordon First Nation.
The Opportunity Horizon School Division is currently seeking a
Continuing Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Inclusive Education Coach. Reporting to the Superintendent of Inclusive Education, the Inclusive Education Coach plays a critical role in supporting educators to create inclusive, equitable, and supportive learning environments for all students. This role involves building educator capacity through coaching, collaboration, modeling, and professional development focused on inclusive practices, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), differentiated instruction, and social-emotional learning. The coach works directly with school teams to identify and implement evidence-based strategies that promote the success and well-being of all learners, particularly those with diverse needs.

The Inclusive Education Coach's leadership/support will become part of an ongoing professional development process through which school leaders, classroom teachers and school teams deepen their understanding of high quality, instruction, and assessment practices to meet the learning needs of all students.
Qualifications: - Saskatchewan Profesional 'A' teacher certification
- Bachelor of Education degree (Master's in Inclusive Education preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience, with a strong background in inclusive education and student support
- Demonstrated knowledge of inclusive instructional practices, assistive technology, differentiated instruction, Universal Design for Learning, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practices
- experience in coaching or mentoring teachers is an asset
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and partners
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusive practises

- Demonstrated strength in the use of technology and data analysis.

Responsibilities: - Work collaboratively with the Superintendent of Inclusive Education to provide teachers with support for designated Intensive Needs students and students with diverse or additional needs
- Instructional Coaching & Collaboration: provide job-embedded coaching and support to teachers and school teams to enhance inclusive instructional practices; support classroom-based implementation of UDL, differentiation, and responsive interventions; collaborate with school-based and division personnel to develop and implement student support plans.
- Professional Learning: facilitate and deliver professional development sessions related to inclusive education
- Coaching: co-plan and co-teach inclusive lessons; model effective use of assistive technology; assist teachers with using student data to inform instruction and support plans; guide teams in progress monitoring and data collection in relation to student goals and interventions; support school teams with the development and implementation of IIPs and student support plans; and promote a strength-based, student-centred approach across school communities.
- Assist the Superintendent of Inclusive Education with data gathering and analysis.
- Monitor areas of responsibility and make recommendations to the Superintendent of Inclusive Education regarding continuous improvement.
- Seek opportunities for personal and professional development
- Perform other duties as may be required to meet organizational needs and outcomes.
