Horizon School Division operates 43 schools across East Central Saskatchewan, encompassing 30,970 square kilometers, and spanning a geographic area from Bulyea in the south, Wakaw in the north, Foam Lake in the east, and Viscount in the west.  Our Administration Office is in Humboldt.
 
The Opportunity 
---
The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for a wide variety of administrative duties in support of the Superintendent of Human Resources. As well as supporting the work in areas such as but not limited to.
• Human Resource Services
• Driver Education  
Required Education, Qualifications & Skills and Abilities 
---
 
• Minimum of five (5) years office or administrative assistant experience
• Post-secondary diploma or certificate from a recognized institute, as recognized by the Employer
• Work as the member of a team
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written to write and format moderately complex correspondence, including memos, letters, etc.
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to deal effectively with a broad range of members of the public, including parents
• Ability to understand board governance and structure and the school division environment
• Ability to work non-traditional hours when required

 Duties and Responsibilities 
---
 
• Support the management of all budgets assigned to the Superintendent of Human Resources.
• Support work in Human Resource Services and Driver Education
• Support the communication with schools, community partners, unions, associations, and outside agencies on behalf of the Superintendent of Human Resources.
• Prepare correspondence for meetings which includes but is not limited to, scheduling, preparing packages, and agendas.
• Organization of special events and meetings which includes but is not limited to booking facilities, set-up and arranging for refreshments and/or catering.
• Support the coordination of Division wide professional development
• Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Human Resources

Horizon School Division provides a competitive compensation package, including salary, medical, dental, vacation, and pension benefits commensurate with education and recognition of experience.  The annual salary will range between $50,000 - $60,000.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

This position is in Human Resource Services and focused on collaborating with team members towards ensuring the success of a variety of Human Resources programs and initiatives and providing timely support to management, all schools and all employees. Duties may include but are not limited to:
• Processing and support for the administration of employee leaves & other benefits;
• Processing and analysis of data as related to Human Resources;
• Support/Conduct interviews, screens, and recruit for entry level, professional and technical job openings;
• Assists and provides support to ensure the accurate processing of employee contracts and information and the maintenance and standardization of all personnel records. (digital and non-digital);
• Demonstrates willingness and the ability to face sensitive employee relation situations and willing to take the appropriate action.
• Supports the absent management system (AESOP).
• Assists and provides support in relation to collective agreements and employment contracts are being administered and interpreted within legal guidelines and Division standards as set by the Employer.
• Maintain a sustainable relationship multiple with employee groups and oversee the adherence to wages, working hours and other contractual and non-contractual regulations;
• Support and coordinate the planning and organization of scheduled events;
• Successfully complete other duties and projects as assigned;

Qualifications and Abilities: 
---
• Business Certificate and/or Office Education Certificate
• A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related discipline, with a preference for a specialty in Human Resource Management would be considered an asset
• Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is preferred.
• A minimum of one (1) year of work experience in a large and fast-paced office environment is preferred and experience in a Human Resources role would be considered an asset. 
• Experience in Human Resources would be considered an asset
• Strong computer literacy and experience using a varieties of information technologies and social media
• Excellent communication skills, able to build effective professional relationships with employees and potential employees 
• Computer skills, including demonstrated proficiency in Excel
• Strong attention to detail;
• Service oriented thinking;
• Ability to manage time, prioritize daily work and meet assigned deadlines;
• Support the development of and implementation of employee induction programs
• Strong team skills to ensure Human Resources responds effectively to employee needs

MOBILE EARLY LEARNING PROGRAM DEVELOPER
 
The Mobile Early Learning Program Developer will deliver and build capacity for local, universally focused programming to communities in rural and smaller urban centres that do not have access to early childhood programming (0-5) within the Hrozion School Division boundaries.  They will work collaboratively with local partners and families such as public health, Early Childhood Intervention Program (ECIP), Early Years Family Resource Centres, and libraries within smaller urban and rural communities. They provide activities, events, and access to information for families with children up to age of five that spark creativity, ignite imagination, and allow every moment to be a teachable one. 
 
Required Education, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience: 
 
·         Bachelor’s degree in a field related to working with young children (ages 0-5), families, and communities is preferred 
·         Minimum of two (2) years of post-secondary training in a field related to working with young children, families, and communities (or equivalent combination of education and experience) may also be considered 
·         Experience in the development and delivery of child/family programming is an asset 
·         Experience in the successful preparation of grant applications is an asset 
·         Valid driver’s license required

·         Record and report planning and achievement, on a regular basis, to the Ministry of Education

Reporting directly to the Superintendent of Operational Services/COO, the Network Analyst is responsible for the design, administration and maintenance of the division wide network (WAN) including Active Directory.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve routine hardware, software, and network issues 
• Demonstrating responsibility for the school division’s mission critical technology services and hardware. 
• Demonstrating responsibility for the design and maintenance of the school division’s virtualization platforms, including VMWare, Microsoft, Linux, and other server technologies 
• Monitoring and administrating the division’s communication systems, including email, voice, and paging

Qualifications and Abilities

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in the design, implementation and maintenance of a variety of high level network and information systems 
• MCSA, CCNA/P, Certification from Accredited Technical Institution or equivalent experience 
• Expert in Windows System Administration 
• Previous SCCM experience is welcome 
• Expert in Cisco Routing, Switching and Communication Systems 
• Experience working in VMWare vCenter 
• Proficiency in the administration of G-Suite andOffice365 
• Experience developing and maintain hybrid based environments with Azure, and AWS 
• Proficiency in managing iOS and Android devices in an enterprise environment 
• Demonstrated competency in high level technical troubleshooting and resolution 
• Familiarity with ITIL and/or equivalent project management concepts would be considered an asset 
• Aptitude for team work and collaboration with other departments 
• Familiarity with standard communications protocols and standards 
• Computer skills, including demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, social media, and Google Workspace for Education

Education and Experience

• Successful completion of a post secondary education program related to information technology systems management 
• Minimum of two years' experience or a suitable combination of education and experience
