Middle School Principal
The Milford Public Schools is seeking a highly qualified educational leader who can serve as middle school principal of East Shore Middle School. The successful candidate must have excellent leadership and communications skills and be able to effectively manage multiple responsibilities.

Ability to provide leadership to and work effectively with the staff, students, and community
Ability to lead instructional teams, facilitate collaborative planning, and promote the sharing of best practices among staff

Passionate about education; puts students' needs first
Values and demonstrates transparency
Strong collaboration skills; consensus builder; nurtures an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect
Highly visible in the schools and community
Fosters a positive school culture
Experienced Educator and Administrator
Maintains high expectations for all students
Successful teaching and administrative experience with a pattern of increasing responsibility in education administration; building level administration/leadership experience preferred
Knowledge of and ability to promote effective educational improvement and instructional practices in all curricular areas; current in best practices including special education
Demonstrates sound planning, fiscal management and budgeting skills
Demonstrates strong decision making skills; involves others in the decision making process; able to effectively delegate responsibility to others
Understands appropriate behavior management strategies; makes consistent decisions with adequate follow through; holds students and staff accountable
Excellent Communication Skills
Demonstrates strong communication skills, communicates effectively and openly with the staff, students, and community
Is approachable, accessible, and listens to all parties with an open mind
Utilizes systems thinking
Demonstrates a high level of personal and professional honesty, integrity and ethics
Desires a long term involvement with the district and community
Understands and appreciates active communities
