Job Qualifications:
Position requires a valid Michigan Elementary or Secondary teaching certificate with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. Candidate must meet requirements for teaching Special Education at the secondary level. EI, CI (preferred) or LD endorsement will be considered based on completion of a group major (or group minor with successful completion of Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC)).
Special Education candidates will be expected to create a positive least restrictive environment for each student to become a more independent learner in an inclusive setting. Candidates must be organized and proficient at completing Special Education paperwork and be willing to team teach in a variety of subjects.
