    Summary:
    To provide educational leadership and oversee support of all district technology systems and training for staff to enable the integration of technology in the supported curriculum to achieve the missions, goals, and outcomes of Kelloggsville Public Schools.

    Education/Qualifications;
    Bachelor’s degree with preference given to college or technical training in computers/technology and instructional design.
    Master’s degree in Educational/Instructional Technology or equivalent experience preferred;

    Duties/Skills/Qualifications:
    Expertise in the administration of networks (Microsoft, Apple, etc.);
    Expert operation of systems; Mac OS; Windows, ChromeOS, Linux;
    Expert understanding of multifunction copiers and managed print services;
    Expertise with IP telephony, clocks, and paging systems;
    Proficient in managing and maintaining security systems including access control (electronic door locks) and video camera systems;
    Expert knowledge in video projections and sound systems;
    Experience with additional educational classroom technology tools such as document cameras, scanners, cameras and printers;
    Expertise with specific software: Synergy; MealMagic; SchoolFinance; Moodle; Microsoft Office; Video editing programs, VNC, etc.;
    Experience with theatrical lighting and sound systems;
    Experience managing a budget;
    Experience managing team of people;
    Experience working with vendors to obtain competitive pricing;
    Organizational skills and ability to transfer knowledge to the staff regarding software, hardware, and networks;
    The ability to multi-task, problem solve, and troubleshoot computer and network malfunctions;
    Ability to problem-solve and assist staff with the implementation of various technologies;
    Oversee the development and implementation of training programs for all staff;
    Oversee the maintenance and overall care of microcomputer hardware, software, and networks;
    Collaborate and Coordinate Technology Staff ensuring district goals are prioritized;
    Level III response and evaluation of tech support requests;
    Direct the development, implementation and evaluation of emerging technologies in the district’s long-range plan for technology;
    Oversee and maintain the receiving, distribution, and installation of new hardware and software as well as the various upgrades that become necessary;
    Oversee and coordinate the troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network problems with Network Administrators;
    Oversee and coordinate the repair of computer hardware and peripherals where possible and if necessary investigate options for replacement;
    Oversee and maintain core network technologies including DHCP, DNS, File services, Internet service, Wi-Fi, etc.;
    Oversee and maintain core network equipment including Ethernet Switches, Routers, Internet filters, Print Servers, Web Servers, etc.;
    Oversee and maintain fleet of video projection systems; sound systems; educational classroom technology tools multifunction copy machines; IP telephony system, Paging systems, and building-wide clock systems; building access control systems; security camera systems; and coordinate repairs with vendor as needed;
    Oversee and advise technology in large space such as gymnasiums, stadium, and auditorium;
    Communicate pertinent technology information with staff, students, and the community when necessary;
    Coordinate with the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum the evaluation of the integration of software into the curriculum;
    Work with the Superintendent to refine the technology budgeting process;
    Seek alternative funding sources for technology initiatives;
    Act as liaison between district and vendors;
    Centralize and manage district records for:  Hardware purchasing • Software purchasing • Software licensing and license storage • Hardware inventory • District IP scheme;
    Develop, in coordination with the educational technology coordinator, teaching strategies for technology integration and implementation;
    Design and instruct year-round technology classes for the district’s staff in collaboration with Assistant Superintendent of curriculum;
    Assist teachers, aides, and students in the use of technology;
    Represent the district at local, regional, and national technology conferences;
    Perform all other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.

    Compensation/Working Conditions:
