MOBILE EARLY LEARNING PROGRAM DEVELOPER
The Mobile Early Learning Program Developer will deliver and build capacity for local, universally focused programming to communities in rural and smaller urban centres that do not have access to early childhood programming (0-5) within the Hrozion School Division boundaries. They will work collaboratively with local partners and families such as public health, Early Childhood Intervention Program (ECIP), Early Years Family Resource Centres, and libraries within smaller urban and rural communities. They provide activities, events, and access to information for families with children up to age of five that spark creativity, ignite imagination, and allow every moment to be a teachable one.
Required Education, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in a field related to working with young children (ages 0-5), families, and communities is preferred
· Minimum of two (2) years of post-secondary training in a field related to working with young children, families, and communities (or equivalent combination of education and experience) may also be considered
· Experience in the development and delivery of child/family programming is an asset
· Experience in the successful preparation of grant applications is an asset
· Valid driver’s license required

Duties and Responsibilities: Without restricting the generality of the purpose above, the Mobile Early Learning Worker shall perform such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned including but not restricted to the following:
· Connect with early childhood agencies and organizations (pre-schools, family centers, day cares, etc.) to provide information and resources
· Work in collaboration with those community agencies and organizations that support early childhood and young families to offer quality early childhood experiences, to grow in capacity, and to extend their reach
· Create and facilitate community early childhood/family events such as car seat clinics, community baby showers, newcomer events, etc
· Record and report planning and achievement, on a regular basis, to the Ministry of Education
